Puppy Purchase Agreement & Bill of Sale

The buyer, __________________________, hereby agrees to purchase the  AKC  Cardigan Welsh Corgi (gender)______________ puppy   from the litter out of  (sire)_______________________________AKC#                      x  (dam)______________________________AKC#                     born (date)_____________ , color ________________, for the price of $________ plus an additional $________________ to cover shipping if applicable.

The seller, Carolyn Yates,  agrees to furnish the buyer__________________ with the necessary health information, including all shot and worming records. A pedigree will also be furnished.  The AKC registration application will be forwarded to the buyer upon receipt of a valid dated veterinarian certification of surgical spay/neuter. The buyer understands that this puppy must be surgically neutered and must never be used for breeding.  The buyer understands that this puppy will be eligible for limited registration with the AKC . 

THIS ANIMAL IS GUARANTEED AS FOLLOWS:

The seller guarantees the health of the Dog for three (3) working days.  If this Dog is found to be in unsatisfactory health by a board certified veterinarian in the specialty in question, and the dog is returned to the seller within four (5) working days.  The Seller will at his option either:  a) refund the purchase price of the dog or; b) correct the unsatisfactory health problem  c) replace the Dog (time lapse may apply for replacement).

Seller guarantees this dog to be of good temperament at the time of sale.

Any known defects at the time of sale are documented here: (If none mark N/A)______________________________________________________________________ and the Buyer acknowledges that he/she is aware of this/these defects.

THE BUYER AGREES:

•1.       The buyer  agrees that  this puppy/dog will not be sold or given away prior to having it surgically neutered or before a copy of the neuter certification has been mailed to the breeder

•2.       To refrain from breeding the above dog at anytime, and further agrees to have the puppy spayed or altered before reaching 7 months of age. If this dog is ever bred, the breeder has the right to reclaim the dog and all offspring.  In addition all court costs and attorney fees necessary to reclaim the dog and offspring will be paid by the buyer.

•3.       To refrain from registering the above puppy with any registry other than the American Kennel Club (AKC) without written permission of the breeder.

•4.       The buyer agrees never to relinquish this dog to an animal shelter of any kind.  The penalty for doing so is $1000 plus any costs incurred by the breeder to regain possession of the dog. 

•5.       Buyer agrees to provide minimum care for the Dog as follows:  annual veterinary checkups (including heartworm where appropriate); maintain current immunizations according to AVMA guidelines, provide adequate housing according to state law, to confine the animal in a fenced yard when outside and not on a chain.  Should the buyer fail to provide minimum care or if the seller finds that the dog is abused or neglected, the seller, at his option may reclaim the dog and its registration papers with no compensation to the purchaser.

•6.       If at anytime within 7 months (before spaying)  of delivery of this Dog, the buyer determines that he cannot keep or maintain this Dog, the Buyer may return the Dog (along with all papers) and the seller will assist the buyer in locating a new home for the Dog.

The buyer and the seller agree that this is the full and complete agreement that exists between the parties for the sale of this Cardigan Welsh Corgi.  It is agreed that any litigation in regard to this contract will take place in the state of _________________________ and county of ________________________.
